50 Years of Featherlite
In 1965, a visionary businessman, Gopal Ramnarayan Chellaram, decided to think beyond small home-based business enterprises, which were the norm at that time, and explore the potential of the furniture industry. He laid the foundation of a company which he called Featherlite.
Today, fifty years since its inception, Featherlite has grown to become one of the leading furniture manufacturers in India, has developed over 5 Lakh Sq.Ft. of Commercial and Residential space, and has ventured into Business Centres, Private Equity, among several other business.
Featherlite Corporation, Mysore Road
Featherlite Corporation was founded just off Mysore Road. This unit manufactured Garden and Home Furniture.
Featherlite Products 1, Mysore Road
We diversified into Office Furniture and built the Featherlite Products Factory on Mysore Road which stands tall today!
Featherlite Products 2, Mysore Road
We added another wing (60,000 SF) to Featherlite Products 1 to house our booming chair division, while we relocated our workstation division.
Featherlite Office Systems, Hejjala
We built a 1.5 Lakh SF facility in Hejjala, Bangalore to house our growing workstation division.
Featherlite Trident Towers, Jayanagar
We built our first commercial project for lease. This building houses tenants such as Titan Helios, CST, Snap Fitness, Peninsula and Aquarius.
Featherlite Office Systems, Sriperumbudur
We constructed a 60,000 SF facility to cater to growing workstation demand in South India.
Featherlite Vista, Millers Road
This Retail-cum-Office 25,000 SF building houses Featherlite Living, Gale, Cushman & Wakefield, and Studio F.
Featherlite Woodside
This 40,000 Sq.Ft warehousing property was built to meet growing demand from Featherlite’s furniture division.

This 13,000 Sq. Ft property is a premium retail space in the hear of Mysore on Kantharaj Urs Road.
Featherlite Vantage, Indiranagar
This 14,000 Sq.Ft retail property is located on the buzzing 100 Ft Road of Indiranagar. Tenants include Linen Club, Kawai Piano and Equation by Punjabi by Nature.
Featherlite Products 3, Rajankunte
This 1 Lakh SF manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Bangalore is the new home of our accelerating chair division which supplies over 15,000 chairs a month!
Featherlite Vaikuntam, Chennai
420 apartment project was awarded the CNBC Award for Best Affordable Segment project in Chennai in 2013 and was completed in 2015. 350 families are already enjoying their lives at Vaikuntam.
